A shrub growing to a height and width of 1.5-2.0m
Flowers: Globular trusses of 8-12 very open funnel-shaped, single flowers. Flowers are 50mm long × 65mm wide; deep orange buds opening vivid red; dorsal lobes slightly darker with a greenish blotch
Late May onwards
Sweetly scented
Foliage: Leaves are downy, soft and veined. Deciduous
Other Information: One of the brightest coloured Mollis azaleas, also one of the latest flowering. Limited commercial availability in the UK but appears to be available in Europe, Poland in particular
